Sexual issues in Schematherapy
Thursday, September 18th 2025 from 09.00 am to 4.30 pm.

Location: Online
Target Audience:
Licensed psychologists and physicians or colleagues in advanced stages of training. Colleagues with other basic training may attend SchemaCounseling/Coaching/Focal Therapy courses as appropriate.
Contents:
"Tell me how you were loved, and I will tell you how you make love" – this quote aptly describes how maladaptive schemas can affect sexuality in adulthood.
The focus of this workshop is to address how dysfunctional schemas influence sexual experiences and behavior. Further topics are:
- Which modes are involved in sexual experiences and behavior?
- How can we work with couples experiencing sexual issues?
- How can individual and couple sessions be combined?
- How can other sexual interventions, such as sensate focus, be integrated with schema therapeutic methods?
The training covers 6 hrs. and count for continuous education credit points.
